Zebra Print Rugs

For a long time, I thought zebra print was so tacky. However, in the past couple seasons, it has gained major popularity, and has been used in some really great rooms! I even find myself interested in finding the perfect rug...

this room may be serious overkill for some, but I think the extreme menagerie of prints is really fun, and somehow works beautifully.

Heavenly Cheese

If you have not heard of Purple Haze Goat Cheese, please go to your local cheese shop or Whole Foods and indulge yourself immediately. I buy this cheese at lease once a week and put it on lots of different things for that extra little luxury. Its simply divine on a cracker, but I also put it on chicken breasts with some basil and rosemary, its a yummy little snack!

Inspiration via Molly

I hope these flowers can bring some light into your life today, and give you sunny outlook for the upcoming weekend! Thanks to Molly for the little reminder about something I love so dearly. Flowers can make such an impact in your home, and bring a sweetness to your life. My friends always comment that I have fresh flowers in my home, and thats because I think if nothing else is your day is going right, at least you can look at your pretty flowers and feel good about them!

This would be such a beautiful arrangement at a breakfast or brunch with lots of fresh berries and maybe even some blueberry pancakes

Fall is such a nice time of year to find some inspiration from change. I think more than any other time, you can get away with some of the beautiful deep reds and browns in flowers

This table reminds me of the plant tables that I have seen on other blogs in the last couple weeks, but glamorized. This is such a fun idea, and really takes no effort, collect a couple glass bottles (water, wine, etc) over the next couple weeks, and you could achieve a very similar look

At the end of the day, a simple vase like this on your desk is inviting and pretty.

That Little Something

I think a completely personalized little gift basket says a big thank you to whoever is the lucky recipient. I often do this for my friends, and they always love them. I put anything in there from household products I have that they have admired, to candles, to treats, but I am always looking for kitschy little things like these that I have found...

wouldn't parties be so much more fun if your h'ours dourves came on a sword?

"Tools" for your bar

M loves to save the wishbone for that extra morsel of luck, all the work of finding it is no longer needed thanks to

I couldn't resist, how delicious do these double chocolate cupcakes look?

wall chalkboards are fun to have, not to mention functional, but this one is pretty too.

Toutes les Glories de la Paris

85 and SO humid again today, I am dying for a break in this continual weather. Somewhere with picturesque scenes, delicious food and wine, and temperatures to cozy into a coat for has me lost in a daydream... Paris maybe?  The Kiwi Collection is a collection of hotels that have been invited to this exclusive group of 1% of hotels in the world. To each corner of the globe, these hotels are amazing , in fantastic locations, and have interiors to die for. Best of all, they truly have something for every pricepoint. Two great hotels in Paris from the Kiwi Collection are the Hotel Costes, and Hotel Keppler.

Hotel Costes

Located on Rue St. Honor, Costes is in the perfect location. Hotel Costes is so quintessentially Paris. The new "it" hotel of the city, they have since launched their own fragrances and CD's. Its chic yet uber-luxurious. Their outside terrace is relaxing after a long day taking in the sights, and their food delicious!

Hotel Keppler

Located one block off of the Champs Elysee, Hotel Keppler is a sweet little hotel with lots of character. The hotel is very quaint, and the staff ever so friendly. While it does not have all of the amenities of Hotel Costes, its a slightly more budget friendly and a wonderful place to rest your head at night.

Masculine Masters

Every woman would love to decorate her home with only her own personal style and favorite items in mind... but home is also where our significant others live too. These bedrooms are sexy and chic, but masculine, somewhere that he will be happy to rest his head too.

how awesome is this leather wingback headboard?!

the exposed beams and wood ceilings are so beautiful, but the creamy bed with feminine pillows really warms it up

Beautifully Organized

I often find myself dreaming that everything in my home had a place. A perfectly organized, completely efficient little place. While M loves to have his stuff right where he can see it, I like things to be in reach, but hidden away. I'm trying to find the perfect balance, while lusting after closets, nooks, and offices like these...

I love the idea of turning a guest room closet into a bedroom. Guest rooms are so great to have, and needed, but it is unfortunate to have to do without some workspace, this room is the perfect balance! When guests come over, all you have to do is close the curtain.

It's amazing what a couple bins, baskets, jars, and other organizing mechanisms can do for a space, and how little they cost. This week I transformed a shelving unit with organizer boxes from Ikea. They are white with silver accents and look far more expensive that the $5 per set I spend in them.

Trunks

Unfortunately, my computer is broken, and that means my archives are also unavailable. However, here are some trunks that I pulled. Trunks, if done well, are such beautiful pieces, and unique. Today there are so many quality trunks that can be used in a variety of ways, side tables, coffee tables, even consoles.
